Real Bedouin Experience Camp, looking eastward. The dining tent is the large central tent.

Location and Views
Our camp is located 11 kms south of Wadi Rum village, in the Um Sabatah region of the Wadi Rum Protected Area. We have 22-bed capacity. Co-ordinates are 29.479091, 35.386355.
It nestles in the shelter of a sandstone mountain, overlooking both the red and white deserts towards the west and south.
The area is famous for its spectacular sunset views. To the north we can see Jebel Rum, Um Ishrin, Jebel Khazali, and Jebel Qataar.

The Dining Tent
Our big dining tent has large windows that open on three sides to let the desert breeze cool the air in summer. The view arcs from south-west to north-west, across an expanse of sand, and provides year-round views of the sun setting over distant mountains.

We serve your meals in the big tent, and Bedouin tea and cool drinks are available on your arrival and throughout the evening. You can relax and enjoy a cup of tea, chat with fellow travellers, and take in the amazing view.

We serve dinner after sunset in summer and around 7.00pm in winter.
Breakfast is served at 7.30am.

Near the door there are power points and USB points and you are welcome to recharge your phones either here or in your sleeping tent.

Sleeping Tents
We have 10 sleeping tents, the exterior is 2 layers, one of green tarpaulin, and the top layer is black and white goat hair material used for traditional Bedouin tents. The interior of the tent has fabric walls and lino flooring.
Each tent has two, three, or five single beds, or a double bed, and our camp can accommodate up to 22 people in total.

For your comfort and convenience, the tents feature the following:

each tent has 2 windows for air to circulate
every tent has an electric power point and 2 USB points for charging your phones and cameras
each tent has a central light
the deluxe tents also have 2 bedside lamps
single bed mattress is 190cms long (75ins)
extra long single bed mattress is 200cms (79ins) amd available in a few tents for taller visitors
double beds are 180cms wide and 190cms long

Meals
Dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style in the dining tent. The food is healthy, a mixture of Jordanian favourites and traditional Bedouin cooking.

When we have many visitors we prepare a Bedouin BBQ, or zarb, for dinner. In Arabic, زرب . Meat and vegetables are cooked under the ground and the food tastes delicious. You are welcome to watch when we take this meal out of the of the ground.

Bathrooms
We have two bathrooms - one for men and one for women. Hot and cold water are available. The hot water is solar-heated and dependent on sunny weather. The cold water is not so cold in the middle of summer.

We provide a towel for each guest at no extra charge.
