Full day Wadi Rum tour with Hike up Jebel al Hash and Overnight
This tour starts at 9.00am from Wadi Rum village. From the village we set out towards the south-east and drive to Jebel Al Hash. This mountain is close to the border with Saudi Arabia and offers the best views of Wadi Rum desert - of Um Adaami (highest mountain in Jordan), the Wadi Sabet valley, and on all sides the wide expanse of mountains and desert sands, in all their different colours. It is an easy hike, a mixture of scramble and walking, to the top of Jebel Al Hash, and takes about 4 hours there and back. At the top we will have a cup of tea, and enjoy the views. Once we are down from the mountain again we cook lunch over a fire in the shade, and rest for a while. In the afternoon we travel to a cool spring, and you will see how the Bedouin built a dam in the rocks to hold and conserve precious water. We visit the Cow Rock, and the soft sand dunes. We arrive at our camp before sunset, and you can explore the camp area, or walk up to the top of a mountain near the camp watch the sun set over distant mountains. Or relax in our big dining tent with a cup of tea and watch the sunset from there. Dinner is served shortly after sunset. It is freshly-prepared Bedouin food, and on some evenings we cook a zarb, a traditional underground Bedouin barbecue. After dinner we sit by the warmth of a fire and share stories and songs. We turn off the lights and you can lie back and gaze at the stars in the wide expanse of sky over the camp. When you are tired there is a comfortable bed waiting for you in your sleeping tent. Or, as an added option (15JD per person), you can sleep under the stars. A guide will take you by jeep to a place with no light pollution at all (except for the moon). We will provide mat and mattress and blankets for you, and you can sleep directly under the stars. In the morning you can watch the sun rise over the white desert, and we will return to the camp before breakfast. We serve breakfast about 7.30am and return to Wadi Rum village by 8.30am. Included in the price is the jeep tour, Jebel al Hash hike, English-speaking guide, drinking water, Bedouin tea, lunch, dinner, and breakfast, overnight accommodation at our camp, and return to Wadi Rum village on the morning by 8.30am.
(The "sleeping under the stars" option is an extra 15JD per person per night.)

There is no booking fee, and we do not ask you to pay a deposit when you book with us. Full payment for your tour is payable in cash in JD (Jordanian dinar) at the end of your tour. For children 2 -12 years old, a 50% discount on tour price listed for 2 adults. |
