Camels at Wadi Rum
We offer four camel ride options. The shorter rides make a great addition to a jeep or hiking tour, giving a slow-paced view of the desert, just as people have experienced for thousands of years in this part of the world.
The camels in Wadi Rum are well-treated and they have gentle natures. All camel rides are accompanied by a guide. Please note: On the 4-hour and full-day camel tour options the camel guide will also be riding a camel instead of walking alongside. To cover this cost there is an additional charge of 45JD per group. Camel ride - 1-hour (as add-on to other tour only)
Start time: flexible On this short ride you will meet your guide and your camel and then ride from the village to Lawrence Spring, The 1-hr camel ride is popular as an add-on tour, as a start to a longer tour, and your guide will meet you at Lawrence Spring so you can explore the site and then continue by jeep. Price for 1-hour camel ride: 20JD per person 
Camel ride - 2-hour (as add-on to other tour only) Start time: flexible We start the day setting out from close to Wadi Rum village, riding into the desert. We visit Lawrence Spring and the red sand dunes, then return to the village. Price for 2-hour camel ride: 30JD per person Camel tour - 4-hour Start time: Morning ride 9.00am; Afternoon ride 1.00pm Finish time: Morning ride 1.00pm; Afternoon ride 5.00pm ... or as arranged to suit your other plans. The 4-hour camel tour can start from near the village, or the guide will bring his camels to our camp for you to start from here. 1. Starting from near Wadi Rum village, You will ride into the desert and visit Lawrence Spring, Khazali Canyon, the red sand dunes and the Little Arch. Then we head back towards the village. 2. Starting from our camp, you will visit desert features in the white and red deserts and return to tour camp. Price for 4-hour camel ride: 45JD per person, plus 45JD surcharge per group for the camel guide. 
Camel tour - full day Start time: 9.00am Finish time: 4.00pm We start the day from close to Wadi Rum village, and ride out into the desert. During the morning we will visit Lawrence Spring, Khazali Canyon, and the red sand dunes. In the middle of the day we stop in the shelter of a mountain for lunch and a cup of tea, and rest for a while. In the afternoon we visit the small arch, Lawrence House and the Anfeshiyah inscriptions. We return to Wadi Rum village by 4.00pm. We can also start the camel tour from our camp if you have stayed here the night before. Price for full-day camel ride: 65JD per person, plus 45JD surcharge per group for the camel guide. Booking and payment: There is no booking fee, and we do not ask you to pay a deposit when you book with us. Full payment for your tour is payable in cash in JD (Jordanian dinar) at the end of your tour. Note on discounts: For children 2 -12 years old, a 50% discount on tour price listed for 2 adults.
