Sleeping under the Stars
All our day tours, that include an overnight stay, have this option of sleeping directly under the stars. It is an amazing experience, and our visitors always tell us how much they love and will always remember it.
Price: 15JD extra per person per night for sleeping under the stars, as an add-on to your tour and overnight booking. It is a back-to-basics experience - there are no tents, and no bathroom or toilet facilities. We travel to this site after dinner at our camp. We set out the mats and mattresses, and sit round a small fire, drinking Bedouin tea, and we answer any questions you have about Bedouin culture. You can lie back and gaze at the star-filled night sky, and enjoy the silence of the desert. There is always a good chance of seeing shooting stars. When you are tired you just go to sleep directly under the stars. You are welcome to bring your own sleeping bag if you like. In the morning there is a short walk to watch the sun rise. We return to the camp in time for breakfast and then you start your tour, or we take you back to Wadi Rum village for your onward travel, whichever are your plans for the day. Features of the sleeping under the stars option:
What to bring: Warm clothes, desert nights can be cool, even if the days are warm. A headlamp or flashlight. Sleeping bag (optional). Please note:
