Jeep tour Red desert afternoon, overnight at our camp, White desert morning
Meeting place: Wadi Rum Rest House Start time: 2.00pm Finish time: 1.30pm the next day This tour is very similar to our Full day and overnight tour, but we visit a few extra sites, and start and finish later in the day. We travel by jeep through Wadi Rum village and out into the spectacular Wadi Rum desert. We visit Lawrence Spring where you can follow the pipeline up the hill for a magnificent view, and enjoy a hospitality cup of tea when you return from your walk. Then to Lawrence House and the Anfashieh inscriptions, and the Little Arch, the first of two rock bridges you will visit in Wadi Rum. At the top of the red sand dunes you can walk a little further up a mountain for a great 360-degree panoramic view. We continue on to Khazali Canyon where you will see ancient inscriptions on the cool shaded walls. From there we go south to Qatar Spring and then to our camp in the Um Sabatah area of the Wadi Rum desert. Into the white desert and we arrive at Um Frouth rock bridge where there is a short scramble to the top where you can stand on the arch, 15 metres above the desert floor. We next visit Chicken Rock, and the soft sand dune. We will arrive at our camp before sunset, in time for you to check in to your sleeping tent, then relax in the big tent and watch the sun set over the red and white sands and distant mountains, enjoying a cold drink or a cup of tea. Dinner is served buffet style in the big tent, it includes freshly prepared vegetables, with chicken and bread or rice, cooked in a traditional Bedouin way. There is no booking fee, and we do not ask you to pay a deposit when you book with us. Full payment for your tour is payable in cash in JD (Jordanian dinar) at the end of your tour. Note on discounts: For children 2 -12 years old, a 50% discount on tour price listed for 2 adults. For groups of more than eight people please contact us for discounted prices. |
